Tottenham Manager Frank Calls Vicario Booers 'Not Genuine Supporters'
Fulham Begin Powerfully to Defeat Spurs and Raise Pressure on Frank
Tottenham Hotspur fans who jeered goalkeeper Vicario were told later "those individuals can't be real Tottenham fans" by boss Frank.
Tottenham let in two goals in the first initial moments to fall 2-1 to Fulham, marking their tenth top-flight at home loss of 2025.
However the main topic of discussion was the visitors' second goal when the keeper gave away the ball far outside his box.
The goalkeeper came out to deal with a long ball and took the ball towards the touchline.
But, rather than booting it out of play, the Italy international turned and tried to clear away, but slipped as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was collected by King.
The forward laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Wilson, who curled a strike into the net from the touchline recorded at 36.6 metres.
Seconds afterwards when the ball went to Vicario once more, some Tottenham fans jeered him.
The team were booed off at the interval, with the side 2-0 behind, and again at the final whistle.
One of those booing episodes really angered Frank.
"It came to my attention a few of our supporters apparently booed the incident and booed after, which, in my opinion is totally unacceptable," the Danish manager stated about the supporters' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"Those individuals cannot be real Spurs supporters that act that way. Alright jeering after the game, no problem, but when we are in play, we are supporting each other, we are behind one another going forward."
Tete had handed Fulham a fourth-minute lead before Harry Wilson's strike – with Mohammed Kudus scoring for Tottenham in an improved second period showing.
Ex- Premier League keeper Joe Hart remarked that the second score was "completely preventable".
"I certainly understand the supporters' disappointment," the ex-keeper continued. "I know the role Vicario is playing. He is a excellent team player, he is a true leader in the dressing room but in the end you are going to be assessed by your decisions.
"He was heavily implicated in what ended up to be the decisive goal."

Thomas Frank Defended His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Match
Italian national team the keeper is in his third campaign with Tottenham.
He stated after the match that he had to take the criticism.
"The second goal was a error of mine, I accept accountability for it," he said.
"My aim was to clear the ball far and I just hit the ball in a poor manner. That made an even bigger mountain to overcome."
He said receiving jeers "is part of the game".
"I am mature, what can I say?" he continued. "The team cannot be influenced by the situation in the crowd. The fans have the right to do as they see fit.
"It is on us to remain more calm, to focus on ourselves. The team is missing in composure and calmness to reverse outcomes. Today is a bad defeat and it's tough to take."
'It Shocked Me Nobody Returned to the Line'
In spite of Vicario's mistake, it was far from an simple goal for Wilson to score.
Actually it was the next most distant top division goal of the season – following Adams' forty-three point three metre strike for the Cherries against Sunderland, which interestingly too occurred on Saturday.
Wilson said he was "somewhat taken aback" that he still had an empty goal to target.
10 moments elapsed between the keeper exiting of his box and the midfielder shooting – which was five moments following the clearance.
"It seemed to me like the goalkeeper was out of the area for a long time," he said.
"I was surprised not one of the back four returned to the goal line. When not one of them defended the net, my eyes lit up a bit.
"Udogie fell too, which allowed me a bit of additional opportunity. After that it was solely about attempting to achieve the correct connection and place it on target. I felt a good sense, the moment it came off my foot, that it was heading in."
'When You're in a Bad Spell, Everything Seems to Go Against You'
Booing While We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unjustifiable - the Manager
While the keeper's error dominated headlines, this was an overall poor day for Spurs to continue their home woes.
This was their 10th at home loss of the year in the Premier League, a shared club record matching nineteen ninety-four and 2003.
The side still have home fixtures against Frank's old side Brentford and title holders Liverpool to come before the end of the season.
Only one of those wins have come after Frank took over from Ange Postecoglou in the off-season.
"When you're down 2-0 after the opening, there is a huge challenge to overcome," said the boss.
"During in a bad spell, all aspects appears to go against you as well – the first was a redirected attempt, the second is a error from the keeper.
"The outcome leaves us in a position where we have lost another match. Every game has a single story, today we were defeated in the early stages.
"We just need to continue striving. The later period was significantly improved and hopefully something we can use to learn."
Spurs have been defeated in four straight at home capital clashes for the initial time in the top division.
And they are recording nine point five shots and 3.2 efforts on goal per match in the Premier League – their poorest rates on file in a one campaign (dating back to 2003-04).
Ex- Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy stated that Frank has to ride the storm.
"He's got take the criticism," Murphy remarked. "He has accepted a prestigious role at a major football club with massive expectation. There is pressure and duty that accompanies that.
"The performances at home have been disappointing and they have to improve {quickly|
