The man suspected of being the recent deadly violence at Brown University reportedly committed suicide on Thursday night, as stated by officials.

His body was discovered at a storage facility on Thursday evening, according to information citing an enforcement source. This suspect is also believed of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a residence in the Boston area.

“He took his own life tonight,” said the head of the Providence police department during a news briefing.

The chief identified the individual as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old individual enrolled at Brown University.

This news follows a major police operation at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Journalists on scene reported seeing multiple agents in tactical gear entering the location.

The intensive search for the shooter had restarted on Monday after state prosecutors revealed that a individual detained on Sunday had been let go. This turn of events was acknowledged to be deeply concerning for the city residents.
