Mohamed Salah Offers Regret to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his public comments.

He was omitted from a vital match after making accusations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the player.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.
He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
Their results have remained strong in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to harm the team.
“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and securing victories.”
